Walter received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from St. John’s University. His years of service in public accounting include diversified experience with large and mid-size CPA firms, where he worked with Fortune 500, mid-size, and small-size clientele. He currently serves as Vice Chairman on the Board of Directors of Empire State Bank, sits on the Monmouth Medical Center Foundation Board of Trustees, and is a Board Member of Rumson Baseball. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the New Jersey State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is a former Executive Board Member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants at the state level and the former President of the Staten Island/Brooklyn Chapter of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is a former Executive Board Member of the Staten Island Economic Development Corporation, a former Board Member of the YMCA Board of Managers, and formerly sat on the Finance Committee of Holmdel Township, New Jersey.

Additionally, Walter is an AICPA-designated Personal Financial Specialist (PFS).
